Sitting on the Pacific Coast, Marin County is quite the cornucopia of businesses, lifestyles, and recreational activities. The area has everything from San Quentin Prison to George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch. Yet, the area is best known for its high paying jobs; the county has a per capita income of almost $45,000. That is the highest in the country! The company Autodesk, makers of the AutoCAD computer drafting program is located there, plus a whole slew of other high tech firms.
